Additional Info

Arthurs & Foltz, LLP was founded by Douglas P. Arthurs and Nancy E. Foltz in December of 1989.

Ann Brittian Green joined the firm in 1996 and became a partner in 2003. The firm's newest associates, Travis Page, joined the firm in July, 2012 and Joy Chappell in April, 2013. The firm has been continuously engaged in the private practice of general civil law, primarily in Gaston County but also in the immediately surrounding counties.

The members of our firm, as well as our staff members, are committed to providing the highest quality legal services for a reasonable fee. We take pride in being accessible to our clients and keeping them informed about the progress of their cases. Each client, and each case, is important. We are committed to the philosophy that each client is entitled to be treated professionally, courteously and fairly. We maintain the highest standards of confidentiality.

Although we are a business, we do not practice law solely to earn fees. We consider the license to practice law to be a privilege, and with that privilege comes the responsibility to charge our clients fairly and help them through their legal matters without unnecessary expense. We will give our honest advice, even if that advice is not what the client wants to hear, and even if that advice results in less legal work.

Our commitment to our clients has been demonstrated over the years by the many awards the firm has received for volunteer legal work to members of our community who do not have the means to employ an attorney, the last such award being received in 2012.

The lawyers in our firm live in Gaston County, and each has served in the community in numerous ways over the years: through their churches, service organizations, the public schools, committee work, coaching Moot Court teams, and even coaching youth sports teams. We are committed to Gaston County and its citizens.
