Professional Representation Delivering Results for Financial Institutions, Businesses and Individuals
Jones & Jones maintains a diverse practice focusing on business formation, transactions, and litigation, commercial and residential real estate, banking, creditors' rights, and estate planning and probate matters. Our attorneys provide quality legal services in a cost-effective and efficient manner, always approaching issues in a practical way with our client's goal in mind.
In the business realm, we represent clients ranging from individual entrepreneurs to financial institutions. Our services include counseling clients in the selection and structuring of an appropriate entity for a proposed venture, and drafting commercial transaction agreements. We also handle all aspects of litigation in business matters.
We counsel our corporate and banking clients on a wide range of corporate governance issues, including board composition and structure, fiduciary responsibilities, conflicts of interest, meeting procedures, and officer and director duties. We advise our clients of the latest regulatory issues affecting their industry in order to ensure compliance. Our banking practice includes counseling on consumer-finance matters.
On behalf of institutional clients, closely held businesses, and individuals, we have closed a myriad of multi-million dollar secured and unsecured financings, including asset-based transactions, construction loans, revolving lines of credit, term loans, commercial fee and leasehold mortgages, and matters involving letters of credit and a wide range of collateral, including strip malls, hotels, airplanes, apartment buildings, multi-family buildings, office buildings, equipment, inventory, accounts receivable, and partnership/LLC membership interests. We also represent financial institutions as both lead lender and agent in syndication and participation arrangements. Additionally, we represent creditors in all aspects of foreclosure and bankruptcy proceedings.
In the real estate arena, we assist individuals and businesses in the purchase, sale, development and financing of commercial and residential properties, including obtaining municipal approvals as well as drafting landlord's waivers, easements, licenses, and access agreements. We also represent property owners in ownership, easement, and boundary disputes.
In addition to our business practice, we have years of experience in estate planning and probate proceedings, including litigating contested matters.
We have attorneys licensed in both New Jersey and New York and, to the extent our client's needs extend beyond these states or our areas of expertise, we can continue to offer services in an efficient and cost-effective manner as we have longstanding alliances with other law firms in a multiple of disciplines.
