Lawyers Who Think Outside The Box

A Boutique Law Firm Located in Raleigh, Working Throughout North Carolina

A Small Practice with Big Firm Capabilities

Our lawyers have extensive experience in handling complex contractual, litigation, business, commercial, real estate, construction, licensing, collections, and environmental matters. At the same time, our small size enables us to provide responsive service at cost-effective rates. Our owner and head attorney, Laurie B. Gengo, worked at major law firm for over twelve years. Thereafter, she decided that she wished to provide the same large firm services in a small firm environment. Triangle Law Group was formed shortly thereafter.

Triangle Law Group does not rely solely on traditional negotiation or litigation strategies to achieve our clients' goals. We are creative and seek to resolve client problems in innovative ways. We are a law firm with lawyers who truly "think outside the box." Each case and client issue is unique and there are rarely "textbook" solutions to legal issues.

At Triangle Law Group, you will find a team of attorneys and legal professionals who are dedicated to resolving your legal problem to your satisfaction in a prompt, effective, and courteous manner. We treat each client and case with a caring and compassionate attitude. Solving your legal problem does not have to be stressful, and we work hard to make our clients feel a part of their legal team.

Our Practice

Triangle Law Group provides a range of legal services to individuals and businesses, business owners, construction companies, subcontractors, building materials suppliers, consumers, finance companies, real estate developers, entrepreneurs, property managers, real estate brokers, tenants, and landlords, among others.

Triangle Law Group is a small boutique firm which handles a diverse number of practice areas. In today's economy, clients need lawyers who can find the most cost-effective solution to their legal problem. In that regard, we offer initial consultations at reduced rates. In many instances, a legal problem can be solved in that consultation. If not, Triangle Law Group will work as efficiently as possible to resolve your legal issue. Our practice areas include, among other things, filing and defending simple and complex lawsuits in federal and state courts, handling commercial and consumer collections, filing and perfecting mechanic's liens for the construction industry, and collecting on judgments and advising debtors and creditors on judgment issues. We defend businesses and consumers in collections cases and in many cases, we can negotiate our client's debts to a reduced amount.

Another busy practice area involves various real estate and distressed property issues, including advising homeowners regarding their options when they cannot pay their mortgage. We advise homeowners on their available options, such as short sales and foreclosures. Triangle Law Group works with your real estate broker, if there is one, to be sure your legal interests are protected and you are not subject to deficiency judgment. Because our owner, Laurie B. Gengo, is also a North Carolina licensed real estate broker and lawyer, she understands the restrictions placed on real estate brokers when negotiating short sales. Ms. Gengo also has a substantial practice representing real estate brokers with respect to licensing law issues and consumer complaints filed with the North Carolina Real Estate Commission. Triangle Law Group also drafts and reviews residential and commercial leases and represents clients in eviction proceedings in Small Claims Court. We also handle appeals to District Court. A new, growing area of practice is defending consumers against wrongful foreclosure matters, a common problem in today's economy.

Additionally, we help people start new businesses and represent the business throughout its life cycle, handling contracts, collections and litigation. Triangle Law Group enjoys helping entrepreneurs achieve their dream of business ownership and help them solve problems as they grow.

Triangle Law Group is also one of North Carolina's most experienced law firms that handles toxic mold claims that result in property damage and/or personal injury and medical damages. Such claims often arise in connection with a residential or commercial lease or purchase. We can guide our clients through the issues involved and work to protect their interests and safety. We have handled toxic mold case in federal and state court. We also handle other environmental law matters and as lead based paint matters that often arise out of home purchases and leases.

Finally, Triangle Law Group attorneys draft basic wills and estate documents for our clients, including health care powers of attorney, durable powers of attorney, and living wills. Triangle Law Group does not handle estate administration or complex trust issues.

In these and our other practice areas, our firm works to achieve our clients' goals as quickly and efficiently as possible. Our satisfied clients tell us that we offer a unique approach to the practice of law. Be sure to review our client testimonials in this regard. We work throughout North Carolina including Raleigh, Wake County, Durham, Durham County, Wake Forest, Wilmington, Winston-Salem, Charlotte, Cary, Greensboro, and elsewhere.
