Looking Toward the Future

The economy has presented financial challenges to individuals and businesses across the country. As unemployment, inflation, and daily costs of living have risen, properties values and new economic opportunities have fallen, leaving many people in difficult financial situations. With few other options available, bankruptcy has become a necessary step in the road to financial recovery.

Individuals battling through these difficult times have sought out bankruptcy protection as a way to get a fresh start on their finances. For individuals, this typically means Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 bankruptcy. Companies are struggling as well, resulting from an inability to pay bills, to pay rent, or from its own customers being unable to pay their invoices. For business owners, Chapter 7 can help close out financial issues, while Chapter 11 allows the business an opportunity to reorganize its debts and keep the doors open.
